Glodeni Energy SRL is part of DRI, a renewables developer and operator headquartered in Amsterdam, with local offices in Zagreb, Rome, Warsaw, and Bucharest.
DRI is dedicated to accelerating the energy transition in Central, Eastern and Southern Europe. The company’s mission is to work in markets with potential in Europe to achieve their net zero goals through the creation of a portfolio of renewable energy and battery storage across Romania, Italy, Poland, and Croatia.
DRI has already established a diversified portfolio of onshore wind, solar, and battery projects. In Romania, it operates three projects — two solar parks and one wind farm, the first wind project to be constructed in the country in over a decade — and is currently building a 126 MWp solar park in Văcărești.
Founded in 2021, DRI is a subsidiary of the DTEK Group, the leader and biggest private investor in Ukraine’s energy sector.
Glodeni Energy SRL follows the mission and vision of DRI.
Our mission is to work in markets with potential in Europe to achieve their net zero goals through the creation of a portfolio of renewable energy projects and battery storage.
Our commitment is to reduce Europe’s reliance on fossil fuels and to move towards a cleaner, more sustainable energy future. We work in markets with potential across Europe where we can have the greatest impact, contributing to countries’ decarbonisation strategies and increasing their renewable energy capacity.
And in achieving this, we are committed to upholding best practices in sustainability and health and safety.
- The co-located BESS, connected to the existing renewable energy production facility Glodeni I solar park, will be a new behind-the-meter electricity storage system with a power capacity of 24.14MW and a storage capacity of 90.30 MWh.
- The project is expected to be ready to build, with all permits in place, by Q3 2025.
- Glodeni I solar park is a 53 MWp solar park currently in operation.
- Located in Mureș County, Romania, construction began in March 2023, and the plant was connected to the grid in January 2024.
- The project consists of three solar fields equipped with bifacial panels, which maximise energy capture from both the front and rear sides.
- The facility has an expected operational lifetime of 30 years.
Glodeni Energy SRL is licensed as an electricity producer, in accordance with its registered CAEN code and operational licence.
